The largest of four major subordinate commands in the Alabama Army National Guard, the 62nd Troop Command has a large volume of equipment, personnel and materials assigned. Over 4,800 individual Alabama National Guardsmen are assigned to the 62nd Troop Command. Brigadier General Sheryl E. Gordon is the Commander of 62nd Troop Command.
